In honour of Bob's 80th birthday, Stef Kamil Carlens streamed a pre-recorded concert with his fantastic band The Gates of Eden on 24 May 2021 with a quirky selection from Bob's oeuvre. The joy of playing splashed off the screen and virtual attendees praised the surprising arrangements in unison. One lost listener even heard a reference to "Live at Budokan" in a reggae-like "Shelter from the Storm". That session made one long for more!
It was a real boyhood dream of Carlens to tour with the oeuvre of grandmaster Bob Dylan . After the sold-out premiere at Antwerp's De Roma, a tour with The Gates of Eden across Belgium and the Netherlands followed. The album brings together the best of the 2021 live stream and 2022 live shows in Utrecht, Breda and Antwerp.
