(CD + 12 page booklet) The Belgian, Limburg-based new wave band Schmutz has always had a talent for writing catchy synth tunes. The group was founded in the early 1980s and scored an international hit—selling 100,000 singles—in 1984 with “Love Games,” a song that has since become part of Belgian rock heritage.

Schmutz built up an excellent live reputation and toured in France, Germany, and the Netherlands, among other places. After releasing one outstanding album, “Lip Service,” in 1985, the band ceased to exist, only to be resurrected with a few highly acclaimed performances in recent years, proving that their many fans have not forgotten them. Now, finally, there is new material in the form of the album “Pillow Talk”: eight new tracks that seamlessly pick up where they left off, supplemented with the original remastered versions of their best-known songs such as “Love Games” and “Straight from the Heart.”
