The Bristol based record label - run by Ishmael Ensemble - have announced they will be collaborating with The Gallimaufry to release an end of year compilation featuring some of the up-and-coming artists regularly performing at the venue.

The ‘Galli’ has been a longtime supporter of grassroots music in the Bristol community with many acts such as Waldos Gift, Grove, Snazzback, TLK, George Ezra and more finding their feet and musical identity on the venue’s intimate stage over the years. Since Covid, the venue has continued with its essential role as an incubator of new talent within the Bristol music scene via their weekly residencies. The new compilation ‘Something In The Water’ (pencilled for release in late 2025) focuses on the current wave of young musicians regularly appearing at The Galli, and the album aims to showcase the wealth of talent emerging from the city, and respective artists’ journeys from stage to studio.
The album has been co-curated by James Koch of the Gallimaufry and Pete Cunningham of Ishmael Ensemble, and will have a digital and physical release later this year, alongside an event series showcasing the music featured on the labels compilation.
