This is a work recorded in New York, USA in 1978 by Jun Fukamachi. Heading to New York on his own, Fukamachi held sessions with top-tier New York musicians who were rising to prominence at the time, creating what stands as one of the definitive masterpieces of Japanese fusion. It is also regarded as a landmark release that helped ignite the “crossover boom” in Japan. It would be no exaggeration to say that this album played a major role in introducing artists such as the Brecker Brothers, Stuff, David Sanborn, and Mike Mainieri to Japanese listeners.
